Free Smoke Detectors

The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services reminds residents to check their smoke detectors for readiness to include activation and location.  One more item to ponder; sleep with your bedroom door closed.  A closed door will slow the spread of smoke, heat and flame.  Stop by Fire Station #1 at 222 West Poplar Street to find out if you qualify for a free smoke detector.
