Altrusa Club Of Sidney Scholarship Applications

Applicants must be a 2017 graduate, past graduate of a Shelby County High School or a resident of Shelby County for the past five years.  They also much be enrolled in a program leading to a masters, bachelor or associate degree.  Those eligible may pick up an application from their local high school guidance counselor.  Applications are due on or before April 1st.  For more info call Kay Miller at 492.7877.

Shelby County Retired Teachers Association Annual Scholarship

Free Smoke Detectors

The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services reminds residents to check their smoke detectors for readiness to include activation and location.  One more item to ponder; sleep with your bedroom door closed.  A closed door will slow the spread of smoke, heat and flame.  Stop by Fire Station #1 at 222 West Poplar Street to find out if you qualify for a free smoke detector.

Free Smoke Alarms From American Red Cross

Lockington Volunteer Fire Department Tenderloin Dinner Fundraiser

At the firehouse located on Museum Trail.  Serving time is from 5 pm until they are sold out.  Guests may dine in or carry out.  For questions or to order ahead call Chief Jon Adams at 937.606.0919.  Proceeds will be used to pay for training and equipment to protect area citizens and their property.
